MCAT Reimbursement

Action Item #1 - Understand Responsibilities

  1. All students are responsible for paying MCAT registration fees upfront.
  2. All students will be reimbursed for this expense by the Pathway Scholars Program if set up as vendors in the system.
  3. PSP staff will communicate reminders so registration dates are not missed.
  4. All PSP students will register in same day to ensure seats are available for all.
  5. Students may test at any available testing center.

Action Item #2 - Create Reimbursement Account

To receive reimbursement for MCAT registration fees, all PSP students must:

  1. Complete a W-9 with full legal name (matching personal tax filings), current mailing address, email, and student ID.
  2. Respond to any questions from PSP staff or University of Arizona financial representatives to complete vendor record.
  3. Keep financial and address details up-to-date in UAccess.

Action Item #3 - Register for the MCAT Retake

  1. Students complete registration through the
Association of American Medical Colleges for an MCAT retake in the first 2.5 weeks of January 2027.
  2. Students must retain an itemized receipt showing:
    • Student name
    • MCAT registration date
    • Amount paid
  3. If any student cannot personally pay due to financial emergency, please contact comphx-pathway@arizona.edu at your earliest convenience so alternative payment arrangements can be made rather than jeopardize future MD matriculation.

Action Item #4 - Receive Reimbursement

As long as all PSP students have completed the vendor set-up steps and have correct address/banking information in UAccess, they will receive reimbursement 7-10 business days after submission of receipts.
